According to WebDa: Dr.Shahrokh Yousefzadeh-Chabok, President of Guilan University of Medical Sciences, this morning at the seventh meeting of the expert panel of strategic planning for this university insisted on the tendency to act individually and avoiding teamwork as a weakness of our culture especially at work which makes us desire good results for ourselves and only ourselves. The output of this attitude is inattention to teamwork.

He continued: "if we want to step forward to development, we have to recognize our cultural deficiencies and attempt to eliminate them. We have no other choice!".

He emphasized that advice and preaching will not be helpful in management issues, "We have many beliefs and values. They can be fruitful in practice, behavior and action; otherwise would remain as simple saying".

President of Guilan University of Medical Sciences, pointed out that holding specialized working group sessions to develop a strategic plan is practicing teamwork and the beginning of a change toward success. The change which uses all potentials of the university by creating an appropriate pattern in order to obtain strategic goals. This is what we need to achieve good results.

The seventh meeting of the expert panel of strategic planning for GUMS was held this morning at 7:30 AM (Thursday) with presence of the president, board of directors and professors and the relevant organizations in the morning and afternoon.
